Oriental Slaw
1 head Nappa Cabbage 1 head Green Cabbage 5 Green Onions 2 pkgs. Ramen Noodles ( any flavor ) 1 pkg. Sliced Almonds ( 1 cup size ) 1 pkg. Sunflower Seeds ( 1 cup size ) ¼ cup Butter ( or Margarine )
Melt butter in the oven on a large cookie sheet. Break up the noodles (remove the flavor pk. entirely) and mix with the butter, almonds and sunflower seeds on the cookie sheet and toast at 350? for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove the mixture, pouring out onto paper towels to cool.
Chop up both types of Cabbage with the Green Onions to desired consistency. Pour the cooled noodle mixture in with the chopped slaw and toss thoroughly to mix.
Prepare the dressing by combining :
1 cup Canola ( or Olive ) Oil 1 cup White Sugar ½ cup White ( or Cider ) Vinegar 4 Tblsp. of Soy Sauce
Mix or whisk together until well-blended and then pour over the slaw mixture just before serving.
